Feature Friday: Superior Credit Union

Happy Feature Friday, where every Friday the Chamber team will highlight one of our fantastic members by repping them for the day and telling the community more about them. This week's Feature Friday is: Superior Credit Union!

Superior Credit Union is a not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative. Unlike profit-driven banks and finance companies, their excess earnings are returned to members in the form of friendly service, low interest rates on loans, high yield savings and investment accounts, and low or no fee convenience services. Superior Credit Union is proud to offer a vast range of services to their members. Members can take advantage of financial education, free tax preparation, MemberPROTECT, Online & Mobile Banking, Superior Insurance Services, and Superior Wealth Management, just to name a few!

The roots of Superior Credit Union can be traced back to the Superior Coach Corporation. In October of 1954, 20 employees of the Superior Coach Corporation signed a charter creating the Superior Coach Employees Federal Credit Union. The first office for the credit union was in the Superior Coach plant on East Kibby Street in Lima. Now, anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Allen, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Defiance, Fulton, Hamilton, Hancock, Hardin, Henry, Logan, Lucas, Marion, Mercer, Paulding, Putnam, Seneca, Shelby, Union, Van Wert, Warren, Williams, Wood, and Wyandot counties may join as a member. 

Today, Superior has grown into a full-service financial institution serving more than 100,000 members throughout Western Ohio!
