New website for Seneca County Family & Children First Council

New website for Seneca County Family & Children First Council
August 12, 2022

Seneca County Family and Children First Council has launched a new website that serves as a guide for community resources and explains the various Council programs.

The website – www.senecacountyfcfc.org – was made possible under the Communities of Support grant and was created through a contract with AB Digital Marketing. It replaces the Seneca Help website, which no longer was being updated, and is helpful for those looking for resources and those providing resources.

The website encourages visitors to explore community resources in and around Tiffin and Seneca County and allows them to browse by category and location.

Users may explore resources in categories of “Children & Family,” including childcare, general support, pregnancy and youth and family programming; “Day-To-Day,” including basic needs, churches, education, libraries and transportation; “Emergency Assistance,” including crisis support and legal assistance; and “Health & Well-Being,” including addiction recovery, disability services, medical doctors, mental health, senior citizens services, and veteran and military services.

The website also explains the services Seneca County Family and Children First Council offers, lists upcoming meeting dates and introduces staff members.

Seneca County Family and Children First Council's goal is to achieve, through community collaboration, an effective and comprehensive system which empowers families and children to proactively affect their lives, resulting in enhanced family stability.

The Family and Children First Council consists of representatives from human services, mental health, schools, local government, the court system, youth services, developmental delays and disabilities, parent representatives and other community agencies.

The new website lists current Council members and a link to their organizations.

The Council provides integration and planning to improve community based, family centered services. The Council serves to bring service providers together, cut through the red tape, increase local flexibility, and focus programs on families and children.
