New Member: Greenfield Stables

Located at 1500 County Road 50 in Tiffin, Greenfield Stables is a horse lover's dream. With over twenty- five years experience and owners who live on site, Susie Dunn and Gail Kingseed are making dreams come true with their family-owned facility. They have had horses for 34 years and it all started when Gail joined 4H. She loved it and then went on to show at Open shows with Beth Magrum and then Quarter Horse shows with Liz Flohr. She has been a 4H advisor for 15 years and loves to help kids fulfill their horse dreams! Around 2002 Kurt and Susie purchased the horse farm they now call Greenfield Stables and have been running a boarding barn ever since. Greenfield Stables offers boarding, training, and riding instruction to all ages as well as any skill level. 

For the horse person who needs to board a horse you will find their facility houses 19 horses in 12x12 and 12x14 matted stalls, an outdoor track, both a large indoor and outdoor arena, a round pen, and a wash rack. The barn and grounds are immaculately maintained and kept clean and orderly. Full board is available for $400 and includes use of grounds, quality grain and hay twice a day, and daily stall cleaning. Along with caring for your horse, other services are available such as training for your horse as well as lessons for you.

Greenfield Stables also offers trailering for shows or other needs. For your child, or the child within you, with a desire to learn to ride, Greenfield Stables has you covered. All ages and skill levels are welcome! They have had families who started their children as young as two years old, and they have had many adults follow their childhood dream and start lessons well into adulthood. When you start your adventure at Greenfield Stables, don’t expect to just learn to ride but much more. You will learn about safety around horses, care of horses, care and use of tack; you will learn to be a horse person, not just a rider. You will see changes in your child, or yourself, self- esteem and self-confidence improves, and there is an overall sense of wellbeing. Horses change you and they change you for the better!

To continue or to start your horse adventure give Greenfield Stables a call. Lessons are $40.00 an hour or do a half hour for $20.00. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Ask them about leasing options, 4H, or just coming out for an occasional ride. They will tailor to your needs, just ask! Greenfield Stables is also home to the one and only Pepper the Unicorn.
