Join the Tiffin Fire Rescue Division for the Push In Ceremony of their ambulance! The history of a push-in ceremony dates back to the 17th century when hand-drawn equipment needed to be pushed into the station when returning from a run. In the 18th century, horses were commonly used to pull firefighting apparatus. Being difficult to control the horses while backing the equipment in, firefighters would often disconnect the horses and push the apparatus back into the stations.
