New Housing Ohio

New Housing Ohio, Inc. (NHO) is a developer, owner, and manager of specialized housing, primarily serving the mentally ill, developmentally disabled, substance users, and homeless populations. NHO began in 1995, in Lebanon, Ohio as New Housing Opportunities, Inc. Starting in the mid-2000s, NHO expanded into other communities throughout Ohio. Eventually, NHO opened an office in Tiffin, Ohio which now serves a large portion of Northwest Ohio. NHO is also located in Butler and Warren Counties. Today, New Housing Ohio, Inc. consists of nine separate corporations and several quasi-independent programs.

New Housing Ohio’s mission is to facilitate the development of affordable and supportive housing to people in need by providing a continuum of housing options for the mentally ill, developmentally disabled, addicted, formerly incarcerated, and homeless populations.

The people NHO serves are living as independently as possible, enjoying a high quality of life. Their participation in the community, both socially and economically, is widespread and evident. The communities served are more cohesive, inviting, integrated, and safe because of New Housing Ohio’s actions.
