The Seneca Regional Chambers understands the importance of recognizing the people in our community that are making a difference. We present several different awards to more than deserving individuals at our Annual Meeting and Educators Appreciation Breakfast each year. The Outstanding Educator Award, is presented by the Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce at the Annual Educators’ Appreciation Breakfast to an educator who has exemplified vision, leadership qualities, and commitment to the improvement of education. The award serves to recognize and honor outstanding achievement in the field of education, inspire the recipients to embrace the qualities and characteristics required to advance the education profession, and encourage other educators to aspire to make a difference in the education of youth to shape a better future.
The Above and Beyond award
A Selection Committee consisting of past Award Recipients will review all nomination forms and select the Women’s Career Excellence Award recipient. The recipient will be announced at the Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting.
Newly established award that honors an individual that assists the Chamber in fulfilling our mission of supporting small businesses and the community. The Chamber Ambassadors are a group of community leaders that meet once a month to discuss what's happening at their organizations and in the community. The Ambassador of the Year is chosen by the Chamber team and The Ambassador of the Year goes beyond the expectations of an Ambassador, serves as a role model and leads by example for fellow ambassadors, and is an asset to the success of our organization.
The Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce, each year at its Annual Dinner Meeting, honors an individual who has proven himself/herself to be outstanding among his/her peers in the areas of professional competence, civic contribution and personal qualities.
Factors considered:
The award honors an individual (or individuals), groups, projects, and programs that support, empower, and believe in tourism throughout Seneca County. This award's namesake, Carol Yager, was a trailblazer and a true pioneer for the spirit of tourism in Seneca County. As a small business owner, a leader of tourism and group travel in the county, as a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Carol set the tone for what doing good in the community looks like through her servant leadership for more than 40 years.
