Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce Recognizes Community Leaders

The Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce gathered with more than 150 guests to celebrate the previous year of accomplishments of the Chamber and to recognize several community leaders.

During the Annual Meeting the Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce recognized Lindsay Sooy with the newly established, Ambassador of the Year Award. The award honors an individual that assists the Chamber in fulfilling their mission of supporting small businesses and the community. The Chamber Ambassadors are a group of community leaders that meet once a month to discuss what's happening at their organizations and in the community. They hosts the ribbon cuttings and volunteer at all Chamber events.

Mary Lewis was recognized with the Women’s Career Excellence Award for her many years of service to the Tiffin-Seneca County community. Mark Levans, long-time friend accepted the award on her behalf. The Women’s Career Excellence Award recognizes the potential of all women as valued members and leaders of the community and recognizes those who support them.  The Women’s Career Excellence Award honors individuals who strive toward the highest levels of professional accomplishment, who excel in their chosen field, have devoted time and energy to their community in a meaningful way, and who also open paths so that others may follow.

Christy and Randy Wiser were honored with the Outstanding Citizenship Award for their efforts in leading the downtown watering program along with many other community initiatives. The Outstanding Citizenship Award honors an individual (or individuals) who have proven to be outstanding among peers in the areas of professional competence, civic contribution and personal qualities.
