Feature Friday: Vanguard-Sentinel Career and Technology Centers

Happy Feature Friday, where every Friday the Chamber team will highlight one of our fantastic members by repping them for the day and telling the community more about them. This week's Feature Friday is: Vanguard-Sentinel Career and Technology Centers!

Vanguard-Sentinel Career and Technology Centers is an award-winning school district that has been providing quality career technical education since 1968. The district provides students with specific, marketable skills to begin a career, pursue further training or attend college. 

Their two campuses, one in Fremont and one right here in Tiffin at 793 E. Twp. Road 201, serve students each year cultivating opportunity for both high school students and adult learners to gain new skills and earn industry recognized certifications. Each year, more and more students are choosing Career Technical Education. This school year, district wide they are serving close to 1,500 students which is significantly up from just over 900 students ten years ago. 

The community is invited to check out this great community resource at their annual open house on Wednesday January 18^th from 5-7 p.m.  This event is a great way for prospective students in grades 9 through 12, to come on campus and bring their parents or guardians to see what Career Technical Education is all about, the opportunities involved and the advantage it provides.
