SCAT Celebrates Shelton Shuttle

Congratulations to the Seneca-Crawford Area Transportation (SCAT) on cutting the ribbon to celebrate the arrival of two new vehicles for the Shelton Shuttle!

SCAT was awarded funds through the Ohio Transit Partnership in 2020 to cover the cost of the Shelton Shuttle routes for two years. SCAT was also awarded four buses to be used for the Shelton Shuttle through CARES ACT funds. However, due to COVID and delay of manufacturing/parts, SCAT received two buses in June 2021 and two additional buses just recently. With the arrival of these new buses, the Shelton Shuttle can now be at full force and make a larger impact!

Shelton Shuttle is a Deviated Flex Route system operated by SCAT and buses can deviate ¾ of a mile from a scheduled stop. With the Blue, Red, and now Hite route, the Shelton Shuttle allows for our community to have consistent, reliable, and routine public transportation to get you whenever you need to go.

We are so fortunate to have SCAT and the Shelton Shuttle in our community and this access to public transportation has become an asset for so many. From getting to work, doctor's appointments, running errands, or seeing a friend, they will make sure you arrive safely!
