Welcome new member, New Riegel Local Schools!

The New Riegel Local School District is located in southwest Seneca County. It is a rural school district encompassing approximately 38 square miles. The district's school building was opened in 2003 and is utilized by 465 students.

The mission of the New Riegel Local School District is to ensure that every student experiences success through high expectations, both academically and socially, in a safe and caring environment. The school community encourages individuality and respect for self, others, and the environment by building confidence and developing character through daily interactions, multiple learning opportunities, and various curricular and extra-curricular offerings.

The New Riegel community takes great pride in its school system. High academic standards are the norm, as evidenced by outstanding achievement testing. With an average class size of 16 and a preschool that regularly earns a 5-star rating from the Ohio Department of Education, New Riegel Schools strives to give students a quality education in a small school setting. Their student attendance rate consistently ranks in the top 5% of all public schools. The attendance rate and near-zero dropout rate create an atmosphere of excellence.

The district's vocational students attend Vanguard-Sentinel Joint Vocational School in Tiffin on a half-day basis. An excellent working relationship exists between the two agencies.

New Riegel Local Schools is located at 44 North Perry St. You can find them on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Be sure to visit their website at newriegelschools.org.
