Feature Friday: Rose & Co. Mercantile

Happy Feature Friday, where every Friday the Chamber team will highlight one of our fantastic members by repping them for the day and telling the community more about them. This week's Feature Friday is: Rose & Co. Mercantile!

Rose & Co. Mercantile is located in the heart of Downtown Tiffin.  Rose & Co. Mercantile is a general store that features locally-produced, handmade, and planet friendly items including home, lifestyle, and body care products. The storefront is located at 134 S. Washington St. Tiffin, OH and offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere for an enjoyable shopping experience when you walk through the door!

Some examples of items available at Rose & Co. include hand-poured candles and soaps, hand-woven baskets and blankets, Ohio crafted teas, honeys, syrups, and spice blends, Black Rifle Coffee, dried flowers and seasonal items from local farms, and a great selection of waste-free kitchen and home products along with many other hand selected luxury housewares and gifts. Rose & Co. Mercantile has also expanded into offering baby items! Enjoy a beautiful selection of diaper bags, handmade knit toys, reusable storage containers, and much more. Each item brought into the store is thoughtfully chosen and displayed with pride. Kate Wertz, owner, can tell you where it was made and why she chose to bring it into the space and share with the community, every item has a reason.

In addition to adding another retail option to the area, Rose & Co. Mercantile also offers fun classes and events where community members can learn how to plate a charcuterie board, make their own wreath, or hand knit a blanket, just to give some examples . Rose & co. Mercantile is an active member in helping to make downtown thrive. From participating in Third Thursdays to playing an integral part in planning the inaugural Kris Kringle Markt, Kate's passion for the community overflows and outpours from the brick and mortar store. 

Kate is a Seneca County native and her and her husband, Mike Wertz, just recently welcomed their first child into the world! We are so happy for them to continue to plant roots in our community as business owners and as a family! The shop is bursting with fall and that cozy autumn feeling and you are sure to find the perfect addition to your home, a new favorite tea, a great gift for someone else, and so much more that is just waiting to be discovered.
