Assurance Health is a short-term, inpatient psychiatric hospital focusing on the mental health needs of the senior population.

Assurance Health Toledo opened in January 2021. Their multidisciplinary treatment team works closely with patients and families to set individual goals and address each patient's needs. Their staff includes board-certified geriatric psychiatrists, internal medicine/geriatric physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, geriatric activity therapists, registered dietitians, physical, occupational, and speech therapists, and wound/ostomy consultant nurses. Assurance Health Toledo even offers specialized care for patients with anxiety, depression, psychosis, behavior disturbances, Alzheimer's and dementia, and mental disorders related to brain injury, stroke, or other neuropsychiatric disorders.

Assurance Health Toledo has 23 beds, one aide for every four patients, and staff available 24/7. As a small hospital, they can provide more one-on-one, personalized care. Their common area allows patients to interact and socialize. They even have their own EMT team to provide transportation to and from the hospital.

Their dedicated staff members provide much-needed, highly specialized, and compassionate psychiatric care for our aging population. Their nurse liaisons can help you with the admission process at your facility, hospital, or home. They provide on-site assessments, paperwork/documentation copying or faxing, organize phone calls to family and POA/guardian, arrange transportation, and perform post-discharge follow-ups.
