Seneca County Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist Program: Learn about Miller Farm Hike

 Rick Hassinger will be leading the next Seneca County Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist program at 6 p.m. Aug. 18 at Miller Conservation Farm, 5670 E. TR 138.

Hassinger, wildlife technician with Seneca Conservation District, plans to lead a hike on the nature trails around the farm, talk about the farm's purpose and show participants the farm's cascading waterway and other features.

No registration is required, but please plan to use social distancing for safety. Participants should meet in the farm's parking lot.

The local OCVN program, sponsored by the Franciscan Earth Literacy Center and Seneca Parks, graduated its first class of OCVNs in spring 2019, and is looking forward to another class in late winter/early spring 2021.

The September hike is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sept. 15 with location to be announced. The October hike is set for 6 p.m. Oct. 20 at the Fruth Wetland at Fruth Outdoor Center, 10130 W. SR 18, Fostoria.
