Pan Yan Bookstore will host artist and author Meggie Ramm and local Tiffin illustrator Patrick Lay this Saturday, July 29th from 12 - 3 pm.
 
Patrick Lay is a cartoonist, illustrator, and educator from Northwest Ohio. He has a dozen self-published titles and has traveled nationwide for comic conventions and teaching workshops. He is an adjunct professor at Columbus College of Art and Design, teaching Comics and Narrative Practice. 
 
Meggie Ramm is a cartoonist and comic educator. They have done work for the New Yorker, Everyday Feminism, and Silver Sprocket. They are the sole creator of Stick World, and their anti-anxiety pocketbook You Will Be Okay.  Their first comic, Batcat, came out in 2023 and the sequel is expected in 2024.
 
Copies of Batcat will be available for purchase the day of the event, while Patrick Lay's upcoming title Death Strikes: The Emperor of Atlantis will be able to be pre-ordered. Each pre-order made will get an 11x14 print of one of Patrick's artwork. The first 15 customers will receive an event-exclusive bookmark with purchase.
