Can you build a boat that floats?

Boat Building Rules
Only the following materials can be used to build your boat:

• one (1) sheet of 4’ x 8’ x 1/4″ thick plywood
• two (2) 2 x 4’s x 8’ long
• one (1) 60 yd roll of duct tape
• one (1) pound fasteners
• no glue or caulk
• painting your boat is encouraged

Event Rules & Details

• Boat pilots must sign a liability waiver, wear shoes, and have a life jacket in the craft. (Life jackets will be available.)
• Boats must be registered by 3:00 pm the day of the race.
• Teams are encouraged to bring a set of saw horses to present their boat for judging. A few will be available first come first serve.
• Pop-up tents lawn chairs, etc are allowed.
• No cars will be allowed in the parking lot this year. It will be used for boat presentation and race staging. Boats may be dropped off at the parking lot entrance.
• No coolers will be allowed at the event.
• Teams will be judged for theme and technical design at 3:00. All team members should be at their boats for judging
