Sunday, January 28, 2024 - 2:00pm

Address:
Elizabeth Schaefer Auditorium
190 St Francis Ave
Tiffin, OH 44883

Join us on Sunday, January 28th at 2:00 PM in the Elizabeth Schaefer Auditorium on our campus for the first "Family Fun with STEM" program series.

Archaeoastronomy & Eclipses is presented by Dr. Steven Velasquez. Steven is a professor of physics at Heidelberg and he teaches an astronomy course. His presentation will include a lot of projected images. Archaeoastronomy involves the study of how ancient civilizations viewed unusual solar phenomena, like the upcoming total eclipse of the sun on April 8.

The Winter-Spring series will include programs each month until May for people of all ages. The STEM experiences are designed for children ages 8 and up, who must be accompanied by an adult.

Donations are welcome. Solar eclipse glasses for adults and children will be available for purchase.
