Monday, April 8, 2024 7:00pm

Explore everything there is to LOVE in Seneca County while witnessing a once-of-a-lifetime event, the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse.

On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. A total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun. The sky will darken as if it were dawn or dusk.

Seneca County falls within the path of totality, meaning it will be a complete blackout during the crossing of the moon. Communities throughout Seneca County will experience over 3 minutes of darkness during the eclipse.

The motto of this event is "Come Early, Stay Late." In Seneca County, we are supporting this mantra to help with safety, traffic, and to make sure everyone who visits our community has a great experience! Events and special offerings throughout Seneca County will take place beginning on the Friday before (4/5/2024) and continue until after the eclipse concludes on Monday (4/8/2024). As more information is finalized, this page and the official Seneca County Solar Eclipse webpage will be updated.

Start making your plans today and find out about the great things in Seneca County. 2024 is bringing a Solar Eclipse of the Heart, and we hope you love your time in totality!
