BWC’s Division of Safety & Hygiene co-sponsors safety councils to provide Ohio employers with access to occupational safety and health, workers’ compensation and risk management education, networking, and resource sharing. In completing this enrollment form, the employer makes a commitment to send representatives to monthly safety council meetings.

Join the Tiffin Area Safety Council

The safety and health of your business is top priority, but it’s not always easy to know what steps to take or what practices are best. By joining The Tiffin Area Safety Council, you will have access to a variety of tools, resources, and services to grow your knowledge and spread awareness on improving safety and health in your workplace.

Meetings take place at 12 pm on the fourth Tuesday of each month at Sentinel Vocational Center. A variety of safety topics and resources will be discussed and trainings are available by our monthly featured speaker. Come enjoy lunch and the opportunity to learn more about how to improve the safety and wellness of your workplace!

The TASC is open to all Ohio-based companies, corporations, and individual employers who are interested in promoting and learning more about workplace safety. If that’s you, fill out a TASC application today! We can’t wait to see you at our next meeting!

What Can I Expect as a Member?


In addition to monthly meetings and a delicious lunch, members are asked to attend at least 10 meetings a year to be eligible for the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (Ohio BWC) annual Safety Rebate Program. Other than that, come and learn and execute safety and health plans so your business can flourish! The purchase of lunch is not required to attend. 

Where do I sign up?


To join the Tiffin Area Safety Council, simply fill out the registration form below. You can join anytime, but to be eligible for BWC’s Safety Council 3% rebate on workers’ compensation premiums, we must process your enrollment by July 31, annually.

Brad Hurtig was a student-athlete in a small town in Northwest Ohio. Only days after finishing his sophomore year of high school, a devastating workplace accident resulted in the amputation of both of Brad's hands.

Through hard work and determination, Brad soon rejoined his high school football team. In his senior year, Brad led his team defense, recording 111 tackles and receiving all-state honors all while playing with no hands. Brad's inspirational story of triumph quickly captured national headlines.

Now Brad is taking his powerful message of workplace safety to businesses and organizations across the country.
